The NASR's final recommendations will be published as a component of the final report, due for release on 7 July 2014 on the ABS website. Comment received up until 16 May 2014 will be considered in the final report. Who can provide comment? Any interested individuals, groups and organisations are invited to provide comment to the NASR. Acknowledgement of comment Public submissions and public comment provided by stakeholders will not be published as part of the NASR's final report. Acknowledgement of the submitting organisation or individual will be published on the ABS website as part of the NASR's final report, unless requested to be withheld. Acknowledgement of comment provided by individuals will be reflected under an 'Individual submissions/comment' category as part of the NASR's final report. Individual names will not be published. How to provide comment Additional information is sought from stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation and improved coordination that will reduce respondent burden and improve data quality within the NASIS. Your comment on the NASR preliminary findings can be made by providing a response to the following: 1. If the dimensions of ‘data quality’ adequately capture areas of opportunity for reducing respondent burden and increasing data quality in the NASIS. 2. Considering the statistical cycle, where the key opportunities are for innovation to reduce respondent burden and increase data quality in the NASIS: · planning · content development · data collection · data processing · analysis · dissemination · evaluation 3. If there are existing innovations that could be adopted or adapted to meet the needs of stakeholders of the NASIS. 4. How the needs of different stakeholders of the NASIS can be best coordinated to reduce respondent burden and improve data quality. 5. Considering the capability component of resourcing, where the highest priorities are for improving coordination in the NASIS: · People · Methods · Processes · Systems · Standards/Frameworks · Other resources 6. If there are any other innovation and collaboration opportunities that could improve the coordination and efficiency of the NASIS.
